She didn't particularly feel like she was doing great at anything right now--just making Kaito soothe her yet again. But he was doing a good job at that, at least.

Some of the tension eased out of her when his hand came up to cup her face, as the wild beating of her heart slowed to a more manageable pace. Leaning her cheek into his palm, she mumbled, "If you say things like that, I'll just wanna try harder, though."

But consider that he would rather her be soothed than wound up and anxious. It made for a happier Kyoko all around.

"Heh. I mean, s'not like I'm gonna stop you from bein' your best. We'll both try hard."

That seemed fair. Kyoko nodded a bit against his hand, before reaching up one of her own to touch Kaito's face. Now that they'd established that things were good and they were both doing their best, she needed to draw him down for a kiss. Just to hammer those points home.

That seemed like a very good plan. He went down easily, more than happy to indulge her in this. Something familiar before they went skirting around bold new things again, if she was even still into that. Just that little bit had really seemed to put her through the paces. He'd find out soon enough, he supposed. For now, it was just time for a long, deep kiss to get them both settled back in.

With the warm safety of that kiss, Kyoko sighed, the rest of the tension easing out of her--or most of it, anyway. She didn't think she could get rid of it entirely, at least not as long as a tiny bit of it stayed twisted up with the excitement still coiled in her abdomen. Was she still up for bold new explorations? Maybe, now that she had a clearer idea of the path they might take. Certainly, it all sounded easier to deal with in the midst of a kiss.

That was possibly why his hand was slipping back into a little adventure, trailing down her neck Kai kissed her. Perhaps bold and new was better accompanied by something grounding.

Which was more distracting: him gently tugging her lower lip between his, or his fingertips brushing back over the soft swell of her chest?

Her chest quaked a bit under his hand as she pulled in a shaky breath, but ah... no, no, it wasn't quite so overwhelming this time. And besides, she didn't feel like hiding when his mouth was so sweet against hers. Slipping her hand around to cup the nape of his neck, she let her lips part gently against his.

She really was too good to him, he thought. Trying so hard, opening up so easily under him... He really wanted to make her feel nice in return for all the menacing she'd allowed.

So he gladly took that gentle invitation, slipping in to offer a warm greeting. Something sweet to go with the rest of the spice as he returned to exploring her. Back to the gentle massaging of her chest, gingerly pushing and running his thumb across her curves.

She wouldn't have expected it would be easier to do two things than the one, but somehow it truly was. Maybe a part of the trouble before had been her uncertainty about what to do with herself while he touched her, leaving her too much space to work herself into a tizzy. It was hard to come up with new worries when she was so busy sweeping her tongue against his, drinking him in.

And now that she'd known his intentions, and that nothing he found under that exploring hand was going to leave him disappointed, it was easier to just feel it. Though... she wasn't actually sure what this was supposed to be like? She'd never seen any of those videos, she didn't know what the typical reaction to boob touches was! Nothing felt bad--it was actually kind of nice, being handled so gently. If anything, she thought, just knowing he was so interested in her was enough to get her heart racing again.

To be honest he wasn't entirely sure what exactly he was working towards here either. Most of the action had seemed to be when the clothes came off and there were no more mysteries. That was not in the realm of 'slowly,' so Kai wasn't even considering it-- but he couldn't help the thought of dipping his head down to take a taste. That coiled something hot below his belly, his kiss growing hungrier to taste what he could now.

Somewhere under those protective layers was that spot that was supposed to feel good. Even if he couldn't dip down, surely even his hand could do something about it? Before he moved on to explore the rest of her, he wanted to see if he could satisfy that heat in another way. His touch was shifting to more deliberate motions now, even as he tried to keep them soft.

As he kept going, the part of her that still worried about what she should be doing or feeling melted away. He was still doing it, and while she wasn't actually sure how much he was enjoying himself, he didn't seem bored at all--not with the eager way he kissed her. Everything was good and fine and she could relax.

Basking in all his tender attention, she almost didn't notice the heat slowly pooling in her belly until his thumb skated over one very particular spot. Gasping into his kiss, her eyes flew open. What was that jolt?

Exactly what he was looking for, if that gasp was any indication. Kai drew back just a hair to catch his breath and see how she was taking it. "Right there?" He murmured in low tones as he dragged the pad of his thumb in slow circles around that spot. Maybe that was enough to coax out another sweet sound out of her.

"Uh," Kyoko stammered, before another gasp shuddered its way out of her. "That's--" embarrassing she wanted to say, because it was! Gosh! She should have predicted he would stumble onto a nipple sooner or later, but it was even more flustering than she could have imagined!

But she was curious about that jolt he'd sent through her. Such a strong feeling from such a tiny touch--how could it be possible? So what she found herself stammering was, "that's--something!"

Kai couldn't help but grin over that response. "Sure is," he replied warmly, just completely charmed at how this was suddenly going. The perfect middle of (hopefully) making her feel good but also flustering the hell out of her. Excellent.

"Not bad though, is it?" Because he was still teasing her through her shirt as he tipped his head to kiss along her jaw.

"N--" Her breath hitched again, but she tilted her head back for his kiss. "Not bad." There hadn't been another of those sweet shocks coursing through her yet, but now she was noticing the warmth that had been building up all this time, and it left her dizzy. "But it's--kinda embarrassing," she managed to tell him at last.

"...Is it?" He lifted his head a bit to peek at her. He was genuinely curious about that. Like, beyond the fluster kind of embarrassing? "S'just me though."

It was in face mostly the fluster kind of embarrassing--she would say she was humiliated or anything--but jeez. Kaito. Stop being so dumb all the time!

"'Cause it's you!" she whined. "There's no 'just' you!!"

Don't ask him for the impossible, geez.

Kai stared at her, the picture of befuddlement. Why because him!! "Cuz... it's working?" He paused, pursing his lips a moment cuz he knew that was the wrong thing to ask. "Or I could just kiss you again so you don't have to think about it."

"'Cause I like you!!" And now she had embarrassed herself all on her own. Having reached peak whine, she fell back into muttery mumbles, cheeks flushed dark. "Just kiss me again." Truly the best possible course of action.

Oh. Oh. Probably this had to do with some of those extra steps of building up to a relationship that Kai had just... skipped. Mostly. Yes, Kai, it was true. You were the idiot. He opened his mouth, closed it, and just went ahead and pushed himself up to quickly grace her with a soft smooch. Kiss first, apologies second.

"Sorry you've got an idiot in love with you. S'probably rough."

Kyoko received the kiss gratefully, though her cheeks still puffed a bit, suggesting a pout when he pulled back to lay those sweet words on her. "It's rough," she confirmed. "I'm probably going to die soon, if you keep saying things like that and touching me at the same."

Cute. Kai puffed out a laugh, dipping down to smooch her collar. "That's not how that combo is supposed to go though. Maybe try not to die." Cause he was picking up where he left off, gently cupping her in his palm as his kisses trailed lower bit by bit.

Oh. Where were those kisses headed? There was only so much skin exposed above her shirt, Kai, you were going to run out soon. How was she supposed to think about all that and focus on not dying? "I can't help it, though," she mumbled, head clouded with the heat.

"Hmmm..."

The easy thing would be to just stop thinking, clearly. Doing just that had made him realize that oh, you know what? Kisses could go anywhere. Things like shirts did not have to be a deterrent at all. If he wanted to slip past the swoop of her neckline... he could. And he did. There he went.

How strange, that having the sensation of those kisses muted by clothes did nothing to lessen the fluster. Maybe because now she truly couldn't guess where he might be going? His map was so different from hers. "Kaito," she murmured helplessly, her hands fumbling to find purchase in his hair. "Kaito, where--?"
