"My soul," she said, releasing him so she could roll over onto her side and be limp at last. "I can feel it leaving now..."

"Ah... Can't have that." That'd be a real poor turn of events. The only thing for it was shifting over beside her for the big spooning. Don't you go anywhere, soul, get right back in that body. Maybe the very innocent arm around her middle would be enough to keep it in place.

"... We can cool it for a bit."

She hadn't really gone far--her legs hadn't even untangled from his--but it was a relief anyway when he followed her. Settling into his arms, her back against his chest, Kyoko turned her blushing face down into the pillow.

"... Sorry. I think that's my limit, for today."

Kai hummed as she settled in, pressing a little kiss to her shoulder. "S'okay. I was getting a lil carried away. Probably would've needed to take a break soon anyway."

Kyoko was quiet for a good moment or two, finally settling down and catching up with herself. Yes--she was right, that had been pretty much the absolute limit of what she was capable of, at least for now. To be honest, she'd been kind of surprised at how readily Kaito had gone for it. But she was even more surprised at herself for being so into it.

Slipping a hand down over the arm that held her, until she could thread her fingers through his, she murmured, "... It was nice, though."

"Mm... I'm glad." He thought she'd been getting into it, it was good to hear he hadn't been wrong about that. He wasn't going to forget the pitch of her gasps any time soon after all. Giving her fingers a squeeze, he nodded.

"It was real nice for me too."

"I didn't do anything, though," she had to protest, though really she was just amazed. It had certainly felt like he was doing all those things because they were things he wanted to be doing, but--really? There was really enjoyment for him in tending to her like that?

"Next time--" She paused, then carefully corrected herself, " no, maybe I still won't be able to next time. But I wanna do something for you too. When--when I can manage it."

He was all ready to protest, carefully hugging her tighter around the middle. She'd done plenty! But oh, that was a tantalizing prospect she'd just placed right there. He quietly sucked in a breath, thoughts already flicking to her stealing her taste of him. Ah. "... 'M not gonna say no," he mumbled honestly into her shoulder.

There was no hurry though. The slow and steady pace really was fine with him! Simply doting on her was already extremely gratifying, which was what he was going to protest anyway. "You did plenty though," he said with a little less mumbling. "I wanted to know which spots made you feel good, and you did a really good job of telling me where so far."

Ah, what was this? There was something endearing about that little mumble, but something exciting, too. Kyoko pulled in a soft breath, nestling more snugly back against him.

"... Only because you found them yourself," she admitted, in a mumble of her own. "But... I wanna do more than that, so--so wait until I can."

Just don't get too snug, he hoped. It wasn't the biggest problem, but Kai had meant it when he'd said they'd probably need to take a break if they'd kept going. Maybe he wasn't actually Hard, but all these sweet prospects weren't making him any softer.

"Finding them's half the fun," he assured her. "'M not going anywhere though. You... do what you want when you feel like it, like this."

Never fear, she hadn't actually spent enough time getting cozy with his crotch previously to notice if something was a little different right now. They could stay just like this with no need for alarm.

Which was good, because this was exactly where she wanted to stay for a while. "Okay." Lifting her head, she craned her neck a bit to look back at him. "If you can keep bearing with me."

Phew. No boner alarms today.

In that case all was well. They didn't have any reason not to stay cozied up like this. Kai met her look with a smile in his eyes. "'Course. It's not like it's hard."

The last of her worries soothed by that gentle look, Kyoko leaned up a tiny bit more to brush a shy little smooch against his cheek, before laying her head back down. "I'm really glad," she admitted. "Really, really."

Ah, that was sweet. She was sweet. He wished there was more he could do to convince her that really, truly, there was nothing she needed to worry about. It was just going to be slow and steady, he guessed.

"You say that like I'm not the lucky one here," he said warmly into her shoulder. "I'm real happy just like this."
