[Where? Nowhere. No, there he was after a few moments, bustlin' out the door of the shop with a cookie in each hand. Let him just look around and-- aha. Boyfriend sighted.]

[Just give Shinji a moment after he gets that text to look around in confusion. Boyfriend where? Oh! Boyfriend here!]

Hey. [Got yourself a snack, there?] Were you looking at the books...?

The little girl told me to come inside.

[So he listened, apparently. Here was boyfriend, shoving a cookie at boyfriend. Take the cookie.]

... I just bought cookies cuz I didn't know what else to do.

[A good and obedient doggo.

Well then...! Shinji accepts the cookie with a soft,] Thank you, [before glancing back at the shop. He'll probably have to come back here a few times to pour over that cookbook on the shelf, but for now,] Should we start by just walking around and seeing what's in the storefronts?

[He was unawares of cookbooks or he might have suggested heading back in. Perhaps later. For now his thoughts were on the clothes aspect, so he nodded along with Shinji's suggestion.]

Sounds like a plan. [Off we go down the road, his cookie-less hand naturally reaching for the other's.]

Tony managed to get a tux from somewhere, so somebody's gotta have somethin'.

[One hand for treats, one hand for holding. There we go, that nice warm hand in his gloved one feels extra nice.]

I feel like you'd probably be able to get anything tailored as long as you could describe it well enough. [Maybe a lot of input and fine-tuning, but it seems like the possibilities are likely endless.] But if someone's already had them made, finding the right tailor who already knows would make things so much easier.

Yeah, for real. I'd only sort of know what to ask for, so it'll be a whole lot easier to say "like that but less of a big deal."

[Cuz yeah the idea was a fancy evening but a whole tuxedo was uh. Much?]

[It's... probably much, yeah, especially if the idea is to make Kyoko the star of the night. Not like that would be tough either way, he figures, but playing their own attire down a bit is probably for the best.]

Picking out something for Kyoko seems like it would be more interesting than a suit, anyway. Hopefully we can get ours out of the way fast.

Probably. Think we just gotta worry about how they fit. [Very straightforward.] Pretty sure the girls have been making more requests at the shops too, so we'll probably have a lot to work with.

[Speaking of, here came a shop window with flashy dashes of colored drapes on display. It was clearly tooled with the fashion conscious native in mind, but there was a display of warmer offerings like gloves and hats for the fashionable offworlder to be drawn to. Kai paused to look at it, taking a big ol' bite of cookie as he did. Hm. Hmmmm.]

This is a start. [Nom.]

[Admiring the offerings while munching on a tasty treat. Nom.]

Hmm... [A start indeed.] Do you think they'd want to show off if they have general offworlder clothes, instead of just accessories? [Finding a place that has anything at all to start with does seem like a good bet, but not all of them are going to specialize in anything terribly functional. Would they spend valuable window-display real estate on showing off all of their options even if they do, though? Hm. Hmmmm.]

[Kai tilt his head to the side as he cronched.]

Hrmmf... They mainly just accessorize though right? Maybe they think that makes this a real good display. [It certainly wasn't a bad display at any rate.]

Guess we gotta just go in and see.

[It's a nice display! If he was after nice accessories, it would be enough to draw Shinji in for sure!

He nods with a soft hum of affirmation.] Let me finish this first, [he murmurs, before taking another bite of that cookie. It would be rude to go in there while munchin' away and getting crumbs everywhere!]

Mhmm! [He still had a tiny bite left of his own, so let's finish those snacks up and be good boys that didn't get crumbs on all that hard work.

Once they were ready to go though! Into the shop they go to scope out these wares. Luckily, if they were going to have any offworlder clothes on hand, it'd probably be easy enough to find them.]

[There we go! No risk of dirtying any fancy clothes, good job boys.

There's plenty to look at, lots of colorful sashes and fancy hats as well as more practical accessories for the chillier offworlder. Nothing much bigger than that is on any obvious display, but just going through the store and looking can't hurt to get some ideas going either way.]

We should probably be looking for... pinks for her, right? [It's a color she looks good in, definitely.]

[It's true! They could get a feel for what kind of fabrics were around and see if any of them struck their fancy for a fancy lady.]

Yeah. Pinks or flowery things, probably... Something soft.
