His resolve softens a little, however, at Kai's insistence. As worried as he may still be, he can't help but be sort of... curious, about what Kai might have in store, exactly. He won't keep his expectations very high, since it feels very unfair to ask too much of Kai after all of that, but maybe... Maybe. He keeps his hands up on Kai's face for a bit longer, running his thumbs gently over his cheekbones, to help soothe some of that residual pouting.
