It would all become clear soon enough. Explained, at the very least. Maybe it wouldn't make that much sense, since Kai wasn't sure he'd be able to explain it well enough. That he was feeling so much that he wasn't sure what to do with it besides try and share some of that overwhelming warmth between them.

For now it was just more of this. Kai made a low, encouraging hum as Shinji relaxed into it. He leaned into it a bit more in turn, drew the warmth of the moment out as long as it felt nice. Shinji hadn't known the threat of so many slow, soft kisses, but it was here now. This was just number one.

He drew back with an enigmatic little curve of his mouth, staying close enough. "I got your letter," he murmured softly between them. Hopefully it'd been made clear that this was a positive reaction.
